Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Counseling services will:
I’m Amanda Plumb, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) specializing in helping adults (individuals 18 years and older) navigate anxiety, depression, relationships, career and life transitions such as young adulthood, college success, marriage and motherhood/fatherhood.
I enjoy helping individuals find their strengths, freedom and healing be their best selves, rather than who the culture says they should be. I have served patients in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake area for the past eight years, and built my practice on trust, wise and pragmatic counsel, and professionalism.
Haven has been a longtime dream of mine that came to fruition in 2017. My goal is to create an emotionally safe and private environment for individuals to work through past hurts, find freedom from ongoing struggles, grow in their true self, and thrive in their lives and relationships.
I believe trust is built through genuine honesty and authenticity, and my counseling style is person-centered, non judgmental, warm, engaging, conversational and collaborative. I’m an encourager by nature; not one to pass judgment, nor one to please. I enjoy walking alongside my patients and empowering them to make healthy decisions for themselves.
Life will most certainly involve ups and downs and, whether proactively approaching challenges or treating them as they occur, I make my best effort to put patients at ease while providing direction to empower them to withstand any of life’s transitions. I work with patients to pursue a course of action based on their personality and fundamental values.
